Two things that should not be mixed are music concerts and political rantings. And I don't care where you are on the political spectrum. If I go to a concert, I want to hear music. If I want politics, I go to a political rally. I like Ted Nugent's music. I hate his politics. But I'll probably never go see him in concert because he just. can't. shut. the. hell. up. At least I can listen to the albums without suffering his political diatribes. Ted Nugent - Ted Nugent
Artist: Ted Nugent Song: Stranglehold Album: Ted Nugent Track: #1 Lyrics: Here I come again now baby Like a dog in heat Tell it's me by the clamor now baby I...

I was once watching a concert video for an artist I liked, when she suddenly bore her religious testimony in between songs. I guess it's all fine and good and I'm glad she found something that makes her happy... but that's not why I was watching the show. It's a little bit like politics.

Yep, that can be irritating as well. Or when they start dissing on some other act that they are in an argument with...like, who cares? Just shut up and play another song already

@JolietJake - Or even worse: the Aston brothers from Gene Loves Jezebel can't stand each other, and both were touring under the name (I've seen all three versions.) One of them spent the entire set bashing his brother between songs. Just shut up and play.

@JolietJake I can see politics coming up if it's a political band/artist, like Jello Biafra or Bad Religion, but you don't hear "Wango Tango" and think "I'd like to hear more about this guy's opinion on politics."

But they've always been political. Even their early songs started out with political lyrics.

Music and politics do not mix. At all.

His politics and hypocrisy have turned me off to the point that I won't listen to him anymore (about the same time that he called for Obama's assassination.) Too bad, because I always liked his music. I love this song.

I have no idea about Ted Nugent's political views, but I totally agree with you here. Don't mix music and politics. Don't mix acting and politics. It always annoys me when some actor or actress talks about politics, and clearly they don't know much about the topic anyway.

Exactly. And we didn't go to hear about the politics, whatever they espouse.
