Okay, I'm 30 and I still can't drive. I've had my permit several times and just can not get the courage up to try it. When I get into a car, I freak out. I really want to drive but how do I get over my fear?

Driving schools are definitely the best, even though they are expensive. The instructors should be experienced enough to help you get over your fears.

Thanks for your response. I know driving schools take you right out on the road, I'm not quite ready for that. Any other options?

I really think you can get to a place in your own heart where you put off something so long out of fear until you can't face it. I know you and I know you would be one of the good drivers out there because you respect and care for other people and children. So, stop being afraid and realize you would be a plus to society! You can DO THIS...I have complete confidence in your ability!!!!

If you are really afraid to be driving, then it's probably best that you don't drive until you're ready. I know it's probably not what you want to hear. But, it's important you feel comfortable and confident on the road or your nervousness could put you in a bad situation. All of us are unsure of ourselves when we first learn how to drive. And, most of us are nervous when we take the driving test. I think if you can get with a qualified instructor and get over your fear, you'll feel better once you get out on the road. Perhaps someone could drive out to the country and have you drive around on roads with less traffic.
