The Big Green Frog above the bathroom door

About 17 years ago we found a big green looking frog that when you put batteries in it and with light and motion when turned on it croaks. Over the years we have had many startled by it's croaking when they flip on the bathroom light. Most of all the grand-kids. Some laugh and like it some were afraid of it. It is still there and every so often a new person, adult or child gets surprised to hear the frog croaking. All the grandchildren now are much older and we have great grand children now. The oldest G-Grandchild turned 5 yesterday. The older grandchildren delight in seeing people get startled by the frog when someone turns on the bathroom light. He thought the big green frog was hilarious and liked getting it to croak. However his 14 month old brother wanted nothing to do with it nor does our 2 year old great grandson. Have you had any prank or startling object around your house that startles, surprises or is a conversation piece?

Can't say that I have. I used to have real scorpions in my old house, though. I did not like that.

The closest we got to an unusual thing in the home is our clock that had a fog horn & beach splash sound on the hour. We got tired of it so I took out the batteries for the sound and just got the clock now.

We would see frogs in our sink or in the bathroom sometimes. And one time my cat played with it and ended at the vet. Fortunately, his life was spared. Since then, I always tell our maid to watch for the frogs and pick them up or our cat will end up in the vet again.

I've seen that frog for sale and always wondered who would buy it. Years ago my Mom bought a clock that chirped on the hour. She shut that thing up within a day or so.
