Today is my husbands 69th Birthday

Today my husband turned 69. He just left for work and will be home this evening. We have a nice dinner planned for him and will relax with some ice cream for dessert. This Saturday at church we will celebrate it with more family and also church family.
He is looking forward to both tonight and Saturday. He is the pastor of our church as well. We are having potluck Sabbath and a fun night planned afterwards honoring him.
He will get calls from our younger son later this evening when he gets home and I put his birthday card from me in his lunch for him to read at work today. He is the love of my life we have been married almost 48 years. Our anniversary is in April.
He loves working and is a substitute teacher and has no plans to retire anytime soon but works about 3 days a week. I have not got his birthday gifts yet I will be doing that tomorrow when we go into town and I know things he can use and wants. I am honored to be his wife and love him very much. Happy 69th Birthday Sweetheart

Yes thank you very much, We are looking forward in two years to our 50th wedding anniversary. We will both be 70 next year. Seems not so long ago we were getting married. Our first date was on his 21st birthday.
