What is the craziest thing you did when you first learnt to drive? Mine is struggling to reverse a car when the foot break was on. Since it dint work I struggled to drive on but we were just there. Then a passerby said ‘she is struggling while the hand break is on’. I felt stupid having driven over 100km and this is the best I could do.

Luckily I drive automatic so I never have to worry about shifting gears, and alternating smoothly between clutch and accelerator. The thing I hate the most about driving, until now, are roundabouts, merging into a freeway, parallel parking, to mention the top 3.

when we were on a crossroad, i did not switch the gear back to neutral, from third, so when i drove the car, it suddenly 'strutted back and forth'.

Trying to start the car when it wasn't in park....it wouldn't start. Oops.

Oh my but those things happen when you are learning. I learned to drive with a stick shift and I couldn't balance the car on a hill and always rolled backwards. I would cry hoping people didn't get to close to me because I was afraid I would hit them

Don't feel bad, for it will come automatically. Depending on the situation, you'll find you are a quick thinker in a snap when you need to be. We were all driving that day all different people and all alert. We knew we had a few seconds to save our cars from that hubcap and we did what we needed to do instinctively. It's different from what shall I have for lunch in this restaurant...it's a more of a direct and quick thinking which we all have when a flying object is coming for you.

@oahuwriter That was dangerous. Did you find out where it had come from?

It was a fun experience when I started learning to drive. My only problem is parallel parking. Idk why but I keep on hitting the cones. I know how to drive but I don't know how to park. lol and also I have an eye defect adding to the reasons why I can't get a drivers license.
