Do you wash your hands after you go to the bathroom? I do. The one thing I hate is when I'm in a public restroom, and people come out of the stalls, and by pass the sinks! That is so very nasty! The sinks and soap are there for a reason! And people like that wonder why we get sick!

Yes, I wash my hands after going to the bathroom. I also have taught my children to do the same. You just never know what you're going "catch". I don't like it that some don't wash up, but as another poster said, we don't have much control over others' actions.

Yup I see that all the time! Its gross! They say that one out of every three people don't wash there hands after they use the bathroom. Just imagine how many people you come in contact with everyday that don't wash their hands after they use the bathroom. Alot! I always wash my hands after I use the bathroom. Its like if I didn't my brain would keep telling me you need to go wash your hands. I wash my hands all the time even when they don't need to be washed. Its just what I do! So its crazy that people don't do it when they really need to. Germs are every where and when people don't wash their hands they dont help the situation at all.

Abosulely!!!! I think all public restrooms should be built where you don't have to touch the main entry doors. The sinks and paper towel things that have those sensors are great too. I don't know what they could do about those doors that you have to open to get into the stalls. Maybe tissue dispensers outside each one? I HATE taking my kids to public restrooms. You know how they want to touch everthing. EWEEEEEEE!!!

I have never been to the toilet without washing my hands. There is no need not to do that. I find it so disgusting when people don't do it. I can't understand why they don't feel dirty or anything. If there was ever any reason why I couldn't wash my hands immediately, I would either not go and wait til later, or I would find somewhere to wash my hands asap. I always stay as far away as possible from people who I know haven't washed their hands. The worst thing is when people don't encourage their kids to wash their hands. Some even discourage them and say they don't need to! I really hope my kids take after me and always wash their hands after they go.

Yea. Here in Vegas of course there are buffets all around. Well, I carry handsanitzer with me.... I always see people who will grab the spoon, take their food, and then LICK THEIR FINGERS AFTERWARDS!! Then they'll grab another spoon with the hand they just licked their fingers with, and take more food! I mean... helloooooooo! That's what napkins are for! They do have them throughout the buffet! And if there aren't any, I will just wipe my hand on the tray. That's no big deal, because when I go back to my table, I'll wipe my hand off on my napkin. One time I was at Sweet Tomatoes(it's a restaurant that serves nothing but different types of salads, soups, and breads... it's a health conscious restaurant) and I had taken my last plate of food for that visit. Well, while I was eating, I looked over at the buffet area(my ex and I were sitting near it)because I noticed that it was getting a little bit busy. Well, the last lady in line walked up and all of a sudden goes,"CHOO, CHOO, CHOO, CHOO, CHOO!" (sneezing) ALL OVER THE SALAD!!!!!!!! The sneeze guards were there, but she was a little bit on the short side. Do you think she said anything to any of the workers?! NOPE! I told my ex.. OMG I'm glad we're done eating! We did tell a worker as we were walking out, and she was like, Oh my God! We're going to take all that salad away from that entire area! Nice, huh?

Some habits you learn when you are a child, the point is you can keep yourself disciplined and not others, though your intentions are good.

OMG!! I SO know what you mean! It drives me absolutely crazy when people don't wash their hands. It's one of my pet peeves. It's just SO absolutely disgusting. I always say the same thing you do. People who don't wash their hands wonder why they get sick at all the time. Well, wash away the germs once in a while and maybe you won't! Ok, sorry... I'll shutup now. That's just one of my biggest pet peeves. It's not only disgusting for the person who doesn't wash their hands, but it's disgusting for all the people around them that they come in contact with.

I always wash my hands after using the bathroom. That is so very discusting when people don't. They're going out into the store and touching things, picking them up and putting them back and then someone else comes along and picks it up. That is so nasty.

Ever notice that Howie Mandell does not shake hands with anybody? He just puts his fists up and touches the other person's fists.. he's germaphobic, and I can see why!

i do. supposedly everybody should do it. but sadly you are right. i had observed that too. a lot of people are not washing their hands after going to the restroom. some just take it for granted and they dont realize that it greatly put their health at risk. and not only their but also the people they interact with.

Absolutely! I am definitely a hand washer. I don't even know how many times a day I wash my hands. I used to wear a rubber glove on the hand that pushes the cart when grocery shopping. Now there's a lady that stands at the entrance who wipes your cart with a clorox wipe before you take it. As far as a public restroom? Will not touch anything. After washing I refuse to even turn the water off with my bare hands. And the door handle? Forget it. It's all about opening the door with a towel, keeping it propped open with your foot and trying to sink the towel into the garbage can from the door. I've even got my husband into the habit of touching nothing upon entering the house before washing his hands.

At work it is so rife, the women go to the loo and dont wash their hands......i wouldnt dare eat anything they have to offer. Think of all the things they have to touch in between going to the loo - the door, the handle, the toilet seat, the handle etc. how many hands touch there. it is so disgusting. Part of our religion is about hygiene. You have to wash your hands and you have to wash yourself whilst in the loo. If ever you visit a muslim home, you'll find that they'll always have a jug or bottle or bidet in their home.
