Favorite "Life" Songs #8 - "Life"

Celebrating life we are, with my countdown of my favorite songs with "life" in the title. We are at #8, with "Life," by a guy making his first appearance in one of my music series': Maxi Priest.
British born vocalist Maxi Priest does pop reggae that often veers into straight up pop music (listen to his hit "Close to You" sometime.) Wikipedia calls it "reggae fusion." Whatever you call it, Maxi Priest is the King, the first to have international success, and one of the most successful of the lot.
"Life" is the second to last song on his 1990 gold album, Bonafide. It was not released as a single, as that record was loaded with radio-friendly tunes. It is, however, the most reggae song on the album, yet as listener friendly as anything on there.
Somewhere, I have a great photo that I took of him in concert (I was in the front row.) How much do I like this guy? I once named a dog after him. That's how much.

I got him for my girlfriend at the time. I don't even know if he's still alive. He would be pretty old if he is.

Hmmm....you post Maxi Priest, JJ posts Judas Priest....do I sense a trend?

I remember Maxi Priest. The new wave/alternative world embraced reggae and similar.
