Jerusalem stone

I decided that my discussions would be on sentences that I read and aroused something in me, I wonder what you think about the following sentence:
"Because of this Jerusalem stone, there is not even one new house in this city, and every house in Jerusalem is an old house even before they finish building it."
I live in Jerusalem from the day I was born, I hardly ever saw new urban textures, and I love this "old". And perhaps there is sentimental value to stone, but does industrial progress make the house more modern or remains old and non-renewable

Jerusalem has its beauty, you are really invited, chrysalis embrace its residents and visitors

Welcome to myLot. I love old stone houses and 'old' areas too. Of course, in Australia, hardly anything qualifies as 'old' - not when compared to Jerusalem.

@shiriyishay I am sorry if you don't understand. Australia was only settled in 1788 so our old buildings are not really very old. The buildings in your city would be much, much older.
