A Day of Writing

As a writer, I need time to write. Most days, I'm spending all my time on myLot, a very addicting site, and not getting any writing done. Which doesn't lend itself well for getting my next book published.
With that in mind, I spent most of the day writing, minus a needed two hour nap, and time out for a movie, I hoped would help the creative juices. I believe it did.
I'm slowly whittling away at the massive word count on Thread of Evidence. I'm guessing at shaving about 600 words off the word count so far. Honing it into a novel, I hope will appeal. This story is a contemporary mystery - Industrial sabotage in the fashion industry.
I'm sure, like me, you like reading many types of novels, and I like writing in different genres. It keeps my creative juices fresh and alive.
For now, I'm going to take a break, let my brain relax, and enjoy your posts, and interact with you.
How was your day? Thanks for reading. Image is the book cover for Thread of Evidence.

One has to balance time between projects.

I am happy that my nephew had a small operation to take care of an object that was stuck in his ear. Also happy that I am able to cash out money from OneOpinion Member surveys today.

I'm glad you finished with the rental. When do the new renters move in?

Whatever I'm writing at the moment. For right now that would be Science Fiction. That's what New Horizon's is. I'm a long way from having that one finished. However, this one is the one that will be published next, so I'll be giving more time to it until it's out the door and on Amazon.

Yes, it is difficult, but for me it's enjoyable.

Your book sounds like it will be really good when done. You do need a break every day away from everything. My husband and I go swimming on the weekdays and go for two walks every day. That is our break away from the Internet
Today we went shopping to pick up needed items and than go online around two PM. .

I love the cover look. I also think that this is the time to write that type of book. It should appeal to many. I agree about writing in different genres it does keep the mind moving in many directions.
My day was great. I spent half the time on mylot and half the time creating.

I try to keep MyLot to the evenings, but I know what you mean about finding time to do serious writing. At the moment for me the publishing side is taking up all the time and pushing the actual writing to the side. I wish you all the best with your novel.
