What are you most looking forward to right now?

Happily, I have several things to look forward to, both short-term and long-term. I'm looking forward to working with the preschool kids again tomorrow. I'm looking forward to teaching my psychology class next Tuesday evening. I'm looking forward to heading up to the cabin in Montana this Summer. I'm looking forward to recording more music. But one of the things I'm MOST looking forward to is getting back into swimming when Spring comes. Although this is temperate California, it's still too cold for outdoor swimming in the Winter, and my cycling mojo has been a bit down lately, meaning that I've lost a bit of my girlish figure. Last Summer, I was REALLY enjoying swimming. It's good for strength, it's good for reducing lower back pain, it's good for shedding belly fat, and it's just plain fun, especially when my young neighbor friend comes along and we throw a ball around between laps Is there something you're especially looking forward to right now?

I think that part of the reason my depression is so severe is because I don't have much to look forward to. No money to do much, health isn't good, can't even get on my bike anymore. Seeing my granddaughter is always a nice surprise.

When I am looking forward to having our new house at the end of this year. It is so stressful to deal with the inheritance and dealing with the evil relatives. If things have done smoothly, I wanted to spend time on the beach and relax.

I can relate. When inheritances are involved, people get greedy...or just plain evil...

@TheHorse Haha yes 5 mm wetsuit, gloves, hood and boots and you still can't feel your fingers when you're trying to open the car afterwards! I play bass, I do the odd blues jam night but I mostly play rock and punk. This one is going to be a rock covers band due to hoping to hit the local pub circuit! Most of them aren't interested in originals but plenty will give regular gigs for cover bands!

@snowy22315 Interesting. Here we've had some extremes too, but in temperate California, they would not be as great.

@TheHorse I would if I had a mower but I do have a guy willing to mow the whole place for $50; which is cheaper than what others charge and he does a great job.

I am looking forward to getting a new front door and having my home re-decorated. I began planning a trip for April 2019 and have booked 3 flights for it. I am waiting for other flights to become available to buy. I am going to visit Bangkok in Thailand and Kyoto in Japan. I have always wanted to see these two countries. I will be able to visit Hawaii and this is where my young daughter wishes to visit. I think my disabled son will really like San Francisco.

Retirement!!! Although that's a 2 year wait I'm afraid!! For now, after 4 and 1/2 months of miserable, cold, grey, dull, wet weather I'm looking forward to Spring if it can be bothered to drag its backside from wherever it's hiding itself!!

@TheHorse Indeed it is. In fact it is a quirk of the Jet Stream that we enjoy a milder climate than we probably should considering our latitude. Any movement of the Jet stream and I'll be heading South. Not just for the winter but for ever!!

I'm sure it will. It always seems to. I was looking at a globe the other day and realized that all of the UK is up there with Canada, not the US, as far as latitude is concerned.
