Keep your rubbish out of my letter box!

WARNING: Rant ahead. My letterbox has very clear stickers on both sides that say "NO ADVERTISING MATERIAL." Not long after I moved in here, a flyer from a local Real Estate agent appeared in my box. I contacted their office and asked them to speak to the person who delivers their pamphlets and remind him what "No Advertising Material" means. About a month later, another flyer from that RE agent turned up. Again, I phoned and asked them to stop. Two more came in subsequent months. Both times I emailed the agent, asking them to stop. The next time one turned up, I went on Facebook and named and shamed the agent. The next time, I contacted the other businesses that were advertising on the back of his flyer and told them what had been going on. All three of them subsequently stopped advertising with him. Now I have just had another flyer from him, along with one of his business cards, suggesting that he delivered it personally. This man would have to be one of the most arrogant, disrespectful people I have met in a long time. He simply doesn't seem to get the message that I would not use his services if I were a millionaire several times over and he was the last Real Estate agent on earth. I have now begun putting his flyers in the post marked "Delivered illegally. Please return to sender at sender's expense." Do you have problems with junk mail? How do you handle it?

It seems like you've annoyed him and now he's determined to pester you. With luck, now he's paying for postage, he might stop being so belligerent.

Yes, I think there's an element of the overgrown schoolboy thumbing his nose.

Most of what I get is junk mail. There is garbage bin near the mailbox and most of it goes in there in a flash. Sometimes I get something of interest.

We always used to get tons of junk mail! I used to wait til we got one with a free return address on it and mail them a large mailpack full of junk mail and glitter at their expense!! We've got a dog who hates post now so the sound of him going crazy at the door seems to deter most of the junk mail delivery crews!
