No, I ran the competition. I run one every year.

I run one each year through my publishing business, Birdcatcher Books. This was the third year. The anthology from the first year was Fledglings, and from the second year Crossroads (that year the theme for the competition was crossroads, other years have not had a set theme.) I also ran one for stories for children, and the anthology from that is A Big Book Of Short Stories For Small People. This year's comp is currently running.

@lynnief Good for you. Sounds a lot of fun - and a lot of work.

@JudyEv Yes, it is a lot of work, but it's very rewarding. For many of the writers it is their first time being published, and they get really excited about it. I love the thought that maybe I am helping to launch someone on a literary career.
