On this cold Thursday, it didn't feel like spring with temperatures in the 30s. At least the sun was shining and the snow is continuing to melt. I hope next week is warms up with temperatures in the 50-60s. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
For my next lesson with Paige, it was the same as this past Thursday's with a twist. I've warmed up with one lap of the backstroke and one lap of the elementary backstroke. Then she wanted me to work on my kicks with the kickboard for the freestyle and front crawl in the lap pool. And yes she used the cones to vary the distances. She's still very confident that I can swim the whole lap by myself after next week (25 yards). So I did 6 laps of the freestyle and front crawl for the lesson.
Next week, we'll be working on my breathing some more. Then maybe after my 2 week break, we'll work on the butterfly and the underwater swimming in mid-April. I hope to return to the pool, three weeks from here.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to do more practice with the freestyle and front crawl and do a lap of the breast stroke. Monday morning, I'll do the backstrokes.
That's about it for today.
