The "armored closet gay" theory

There's a theory that all homophobes are actually closeted homosexuals who are jealous of out homosexuals for being braver than they are. Personally, I don't subscribe to this theory, but it's a lot of fun to bring it up around homophobes to see how they react.

In some cases it is possibly true. I know we have lots of people who proclaim how moral they are, until they are caught doing the things that they condemn.

could be... or maybe they had bad experience with homosexuals. (no bias here). but it could also be true that they are homosexuals themselves.
