A blessed Tuesday to all of us, how are you all? I am on my phone checking my notifications and previous discussions, and liked those who interacted; I will be online on desktop tomorrow to participate in the discussions.
Last Sunday, the 3 of us had our lunch out. Then we went to a mall to have my wristwatch’s strap be replaced. The wristwatch’s strap that I am using for my work has already worn-out. This is the timepiece given to me by a colleague who is now in USA with her family.
The repairman told me the watch is original, including the strap. I let it be replaced with the same kind.
A wristwatch is a part of the student’s uniform. They have to have a timepiece with second hand. We their instructors, always reiterate time management in order to be always on time with their responsibilities.
What is the strap of your wristwatch? Is it leather, leatherette, chains, or don’t you wear a timepiece? Just kidding.

@ridingbet The one of my grandmother is a Swiss watch "Omega", they still make mechanical watches, for those who like the quality.

@LadyDuck the first Seiko watch given by my mother is also the mechanical one. it had no battery. i have the Raymond Weill watch given by my brother, and it is also a mechanical watch where i have to wind the wheel in the right side of the time piece.

@ridingbet Yes, my dear friend. I don't use them. That's the disadvantage of working at home.

my brother also gave me a casio that i use on duty. i alternate the 4 watches because all these 4 have second hands. i also check my students if their wristwatches are functioning.

Mine's strap is chains, but I don't wear a wristwatch everyday. You have a really nice, classical watch.

@anikoonline my colleague left for USA and i was the only one she gave a special gift; the others had blazers, blouses, clipboards, but mine was her watch. i can vividly recall how she gave it to me.

@ridingbet Did you get it for a special event?
My watch was also a gift, I got it from my mother for my birthday. I don't feel the need of wearing a watch everyday, I can check the time on my phone, it is on my computer screen, there are clocks in every office at my workplace. And normally I wear my favourite bracelet that doesn't fit to my watch.

Hi Ingrid. The strap of my wristwatch is a chain. I liked wearing that because my brother gave that to me. I am not wearing it now because I need to have the battery changed.

we are similar. i value anything, even slippers, or watch, that my brothers give me. in fact, i have not yet bought a watch of my own. some are given as gifts from my family.
i plan to have my 2 watches have their batteries changed.
