So, you do not believe?

I for one, know they exist.
That is a bold statement to make for me. But I maintain it.
From my own experiences I know that spirits from beyond the grave do come to pay us a visit at times.
My first experience was a dream. I thought it may have been a dream or rather a nightmare, but the first dream was a doozy . Running from a witch down a tunnel of dirt, underground like a long maze of tunnels and being chased and hearing the words of that witch, "I want to eat your brain."
This was one I had at a very early age of about 9 or 10 years old.
When I saw shadows on the wall that vanished soon after that took the shape of a creature of some type. This was what me and my brother saw one night while asleep. Being awakened by my brother, who was screaming and crying. He told me. "Anthony, look. Can you see that? It looks like a monster." I saw it on the wall but after a few minutes after hiding under the blanket, I had the courage to get my head out from under that blanket and stare back at the wall and the image had gone.
I could tell you some stories about ghosts that would make your hair stand on end.

I have walked through ghosts before. It really is cold. I used to see some when I was little, which is when you do actually see most of that.
There was a circle of us playing with a baby once, and we were passing a ball back and forth over the floor between us. There was one person missing in the circle, and an empty space for no reason. Deliberately, she would roll the ball to us, and be cheerful. Suddenly, she looked to the empty place and happily rolled the ball there, only to be shocked when the ball wasn't caught and looked amazed and slightly unnerved. I'd imagine that she saw a ghost there, and tried to pass it the ball. When it went through them, she was surprised and slightly afraid.
People say that was me just fitting the situation with a story, but is it true? Why didn't we make a smaller circle in that case, and left one space big enough for an extra person to play the game? I'm pretty sure at the early ages, we can and do see other worldly energy. Only after many years of being told "those aren't real"/ "there's no such thing." we attribute it to our imagination, and ignore it.

I've never seen a ghost but I had a disturbing experience in a bed and breakfast that I stayed at. There was really no explanation for what happened. I also think my parents come to help me in times of trouble.

@lookatdesktop I don't think I have a 6th sense but I certainly believe there is something outside our dimension and recently my granddaughter said she saw a man walk into our house and disappear. I looked around but there was no one there. I know she wasn't making it up as she was so frightened and it took a long time to calm her down.

You may sometimes walk into a place, a building, a room, familiar to you or unfamiliar and have a 6th sense that something is wrong and there may be danger. If so, you have been given the gift of premonition, which occurs sometimes when a passenger on a flight feels wrong about flying and doesn't board the plane, only later learning that the plane crashed. Waking up in the night, feeling like you need to call a member of the family only to discover they are drowning in a lake and your call got their attention so as a result the drowning relative was saved. These happen. There are many cased stories that are facts that relate to this 6th sense, the ability to see things that are either going to happen, may happen or are occurring at this very moment, also referred to as second sight, or psychic intuition. Remote viewing is actually something that the military have used in times of war. Psychics do exist and they are scorned and ignored by mainstream society. But there are skeptics on both sides of this subject matter.

@sprite1950 , That is somewhat disturbing. Hopefully you were there to quell her anxiety and reassure her that everything was alright. Things like that need to be put behind us so we can move on with our life for the time being. We live in the now. We need to focus on things that matter, not speculate endlessly on things we do not understand because that is not productive to a quality of life that we seek.

This took me back to the day when my father showed us something similar and it was moving - that shadow. That is when we were told that he was moving the shutter of the window just so that we stop imagining things.

Yep. Lots of optical illusions can happen and make some people think it was something out of the ordinary but then I like it when I see a double rainbow. In a way it seems like a miracle because I see such beauty in it and it is so rare to see.

I believe too. My son likes to play with the wood pellet bags. Before we moved here he played with the chain pulls on the ceiling fan.

@lookatdesktop Yes he passed in 2002 when he was 19. But a bag of pellets can still fall over even after having sat in the same place for a day or 2. Usually happens when I am feeling extra down for some reason

@lookatdesktop Yes I will always miss him but it feels good to know a part of him is still here even if I can not touch him. I do talk to him and sometimes hear his voice back.

You are open to the truth. This can become a cornerstone in the pathway of your life.It can be helpful or harmful, depending on how you take things.

@Raj7779 Almost every culture has the knowledge of spirits. The Native American Indian talks to and respects the spirits of their ancestors. They believe in spirits and are very intelligent and courageous. These Native American Indians are more connected to the spirit world than most religions of this planet. They have been abused so much in history that it makes me cry many tears, enough to fill an ocean.

There are some places in the world where spirits flourish. Mostly in rain forest territory. Stanley Park in Vancouver Canada is one such place. The paranormal activity is immense and very often people will tell stories of encounters with the sprits.

Wow. I had no idea of it. Glad to know. I imagine it is a life changing experience for those who witness these paranormal or spiritual events. I think it is a spiritual thing just to be in the woods, just saying.
Glad there are still parks for people to enjoy. Watch out for those bears though.

@Starmaiden Glad that is the case. I imagine the raccoons would like to scare away the humans there.

I think there are good and evil spirits. God is spirit. The demonic forces are spirits. I am not so sure about the spirits of deceased loved ones. The Bible warns against familiar spirits. Are family and friends the familiar spirits? I don't really know. I often dream of people gone for a long time. I don't know if it is the same thing.

@lookatdesktop Thanks for the link. I am sure that your mother knows you are sorry for what you said. It is a reminder to tell people your feelings while they are alive. If you love someone, tell them. If you are sorry, apologize. If you need to confess something, do it.

After years of wondering I have finally decided that there are two realities. One that everyone can see and we all share. The other one anything and everything that we experience including the things no one else knows. That would include dreams, nightmares, visitors from the other side and anything else paranormal.
In short, if you experience it then it is real. Your brain can not tell the difference.

I have been am still am quite the skeptic. But every now and then, I pause to wonder, what if? And then go have another cup of coffee and forget about it. The stuff of mystery and wonder is what makes for good story telling. Everyone likes mystery and that is why we all like to ponder things that go beyond the simple realm of every day normalcy. I think it strange that any one single person could have conceptualized the creation of a television or a cell phone or even a micro chip. These things we all take for granted, would, if shown to ancient persons from the past, as if we had the ability to time travel back then, the natives would think us gods. Maybe the idea of gods from space is primarily derived from the mystery surrounding the existence of the pyramids and Easter Island and Stonehenge. Imagination is sometimes more fun than logic.

Creepy. But I believe in the supernatural and those that are unseen. I never question their existence as they are part of our lives, whether we like it or not. I just pray for them because they need it the most.
