A 14 month old Springer Spaniel named Obi has found a new line of work with the University of California Berkeley campus as a K 9 bomb sniffing dog that works with his handler university police officer Sal Lopez.
Obi was a puppy that was abused by his former owners in Wyoming before a police officer rescued him and brought him to Berkeley.
Obi was then was adopted by Officer Lopez who has been working with Obi since February 2018.
The friendship between Obi and his handler is strong since they Obi lives with his handler in his own along with his one year old son.
Obi works with Officer Lopez at all sports events in the Berkeley campus to make sure that the venue is clear of any explosives.
Lopez admitted that due to the physical abuse that Obi went through as a puppy, it took time for Obi to overcome his fear of humans.

Those dogs are very highly trained and obedient. All dogs should be like that.

I had one dog who is no longer with me named Thunder who lived ten years with my relatives who came from an abused owner and we were great friends with the mixed breed German Shepherd and Black Labrador Retriever.
