May 2013 was a really good month for me.
I finally saw Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers in concert.
And this band opened for them.
Both acts I had wanted to see.
Then in October 2017, Tom Petty died...followed by the death of Pat DiNizio (who sang for the opening act) in December.
Life can be strange.

Probably not...I think their most popular songs were 'Blood and Roses' and 'A Girl Like You'

I didn't find out they were opening for Tom until after I bought the tickets...I was a very happy camper at the time

@JohnRoberts These guys opened for KISS in the mid-90's, I bought their CD after hearing their set before KISS took the stage

Late last year was loaded with gut punches, from Walter Becker to Petty to DiNizio. The Smithereens were fabulous live, high energy and funny.
