A Long Few Days

It's been a long week so far. I have a house inspection tomorrow, and the garden had gotten rather out of hand, particularly the ivy which someone who rented the property before me had stupidly planted. It had totally taken over the front garden, and my efforts, limited by a back that shows its displeasure if I try to do too much, were not making any impression on it. Fortunately a small group of wonderful people from my Bible study group volunteered to come and attack it for me. They rocked up on Saturday afternoon, and again this morning, cleared the ivy and totally transformed my yard. I am so grateful to them. I did the least of anyone, but my body is still letting me know about it. (For those in other countries, perhaps I should explain that here in Australia, if you are in a rental property, the Real Estate agent will normally do an inspection every six months to make sure you are looking after the place properly.)
