Let's use a very old-time classic tune called "Frankie and Johnnie" to lead us into our F-titled ladies songs today. This version is performed by Johnny Cash and I bet some of you even know the words and can sing-a-long. This old song certainly has some history behind it! FRANKIE AND JOHNNY TRIVIA: Besides the girl with the letter F in the title here are a few fun facts.... - This was part of the 1963 movie called "Hootnanny Hoot".? -Elvis recorded his own version for one of his movies called "Frankie and Johnny." -The song was inspired by one or more actual murders. -The title of this song was first published in 1904, credited to and copyrighted by Hughie Cannon, the composer of "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey." OK, ready for today's trivia clues- Lets name the songs and artists: 1. This song was released on this artists first solo album after he departured from the pop group "Wham." The song's name reflected the singer's mood at the time of the record's release. He was filled with hope and optimism. The MTV video featured the artist strumming a guitar even though he could not play the instrument. After this album sunglasses became a permanent part of this singer's look. The album's title was the same as this # 1 hit song and it became the biggest-selling single of the year in 1988. 2. These three brothers were successful for both their pop hits in the 60's and disco hits of the 70's. They wrote all of their own hits, as well as writing and producing several major hits for other artists. The brothers originally lived in England but achieved their first chart success after settling in Australia. The group eventually achieved notoriety under the management of Robert Stigwood and started charting hits like "I Started A Joke" and "I've Gotta Get a Message to You." This song was recorded and released in 1976 and the girl's name in the song was inspired by the group's housecleaner. According to one of the brothers Quincy Jones called the tune one of the tenderest R&B songs of all time. There is our musical trivia today for F-named women songs. Good luck and use those clues! Enjoy the continuing series, comment, check out the trivia answers and see if their your favorites too. And as always, thanks for reading my music post!!! #1 is obviously Tim McGraw’s favorite song. And I worked with a music geek at the post office who referred to #2 as “love be tender with my fanny.” Sick guy, huh?

Great comments as always! A tender fanny? I'm speechless Just thought of something The Band might say to that comment, "Take a load off that tender Fanny."

Wasn't there an Elvis movie called Frankie and Johnny? 1) I know the singer was George Michael's but I do not know the song. If only somebody would whisper it in my ear. 2) So, the group is the Bee Gees and let's see if I can think of the song? It must be : Fannie (or Fanny?) be tender with my love!
