Found out the ending of a movie before seeing it

I went to the movies yesterday to see Midnight Sun starring Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Because I went to see it in the afternoon I ended up saving three bucks. The movie cost me $12 instead of $15.
Spoiler alert: don't read if you plan on seeing this movie.
As I was walking to the bathroom in the movie theater, before the movie started, I heard a girl crying and saying to another girl, "I can't believe she dies". Now there were many movies playing at the theater at the time, and any one of them could have had someone die, but I felt like the girl was talking about Midnight Sun, especially because the main character in the movie is sick.
Hearing the girl say that bummed me out because I didn't want to know the ending and now I knew. Still, I was hopeful that perhaps she was talking about a different movie. And I watched the movie not thinking about what that girl had said. But the main character did die and so, it was clear, the girl was talking about this movie and not a different one.
I hate it when I don't want to know something, like how a movie ends, or what contestant gets eliminated on a show I am watching, but I end up accidentally finding out anyway. It spoils it for me. I still watch the show or the movie, but it is not the same anymore.
