why do some people like burnt toast? yuck.

where i work,once in a while i have to man the breakfast room so the usual girl can get a day off.
i've noticed lately,quite a few people have been burning their toast black-purposely..
and enjoying it.
i can't even stand the smell of burnt toast..it's awful.i can't imagine somebody WANTING it that way.

I like crispy, but not burnt :) But if its burnt I would not mind, but browned, not blacken purposely.

I love burnt toast.. It's crunchy and for me it's tasty. The smell of it isn't a big No-no for me. =)

Too me, this makes no sense. I am the type when it comes to Toast I prefer mine to where it is still softer like the Bread is. And no, cannot stand the smell of Burnt toast here either.

i've always preferred the brown bottoms, ends and tops of baked products like bread.
but as others have said, browned, not blackened. but if so, just scrape if off.
