None of us is going to Mars.

Once in a while, I read the most incredible (an stupid) kind of trivia. While I am reading it, I say to myself: "Stop it. Why are you wasting your time this way!" Yet I go on, like an addiction.
Today´s reading was that none of us would go to Mars. We will all be dead before any human being sets their feet in Mars.
I ask myself: "Why do I care?" I have trouble setting my feet outside my house.
So, just in case there´s someone like me around, the answer is NO. We are not going to Mars. That is, of course, unless you believe in reincarnation.
Do you think of such things once in a while?

I remember as a child, being told that there were Martians on Mars. It was scary, imagining that those creatures would invade the earth! LOL Nope, I'd never think of leaving this ole earth:)

Not even when I was young did I want to go elsewhere. But now, even my neighborhood is too big for me.

I've read too many theories how Mars could be our second planet just in case Earth gets destroyed. But Mars is extremely hot and as of the moment no living organism could survived there. Though there were evidences that life used to exist in Mars and evidences that water once existed there, I think ti wouldn't matter if those don't exist now.

I don´t even think about that as it would take too long to get there.

@marguicha I never thought Mars is that far anymore .With the advancement in technology of space shuttles, I don't think it would be that far at all. The big issue is whether it's liveable.

To me, the Earth is big enough that it doesn't bother me that I'll never set foot in Mars.

I'm on Mars right now! The internet connection is a little sketchy, but that's okay. It just means I won't be playing any First Player Shooter games because of latency issues!

@OneOfMany Maybe there were too many human beings. They destroy a lot. Have you read The Martian Chronicles?

If I can't handle earth's environment, I'm sure that tackling another planet would pose as a disaster.

It was my ultimate dream but wont happen since I am not good in Math hence I wont pass as an astronaut. I actually auditioned to be in Mars one but oh well that project failed anyway.

I don´t think that any man (no matter how good at Math he is) will get there while we are alive.

@marguicha Maybe the technology to extend my lifespan for 2 centuries is already there. I am crossing my fingers for organ printing.
