BreakFAST!

Good Saturday morning to all users, or happy Friday evening to the other side of the planet.
My sister got up of bed ahead of me and she prepared our breakfast. She prepared spaghetti for the 3 of us, and there are no special celebrations today; she just thought of making spaghetti.
I appreciate the home-made sauce she cooks. It is far better than the sauce, or the spaghetti itself, of some food stores here like the jolly bee and others. I cannot describe how tasteful and yummy it is.
I think spaghetti is not right for breakfast (though we enjoyed eating it); but do you agree with me?

the oddity of a Filipino, me in particular, is eating spaghetti, a carbohydrate, with a piece of bread, also a carbohydrate. just like eating oats with bread, or egg noodles (pansit) with bread=double carbohydrates.

@ridingbet The ready made spaghetti sauce is horrible, my husband does not eat should I use it.

@LadyDuck yes i believe the sauce we buy in groceries, we do not know if the contents are fresh; who knows, the meat may be scraps of meat from the bones of carcasses.

my sister also prepares and cooks home-made sauce and it is so delicious that i can even compare it with the spaghetti sauce of some fast food stores here.

I don't know if I could eat that for breakfast. We normally have that for dinner but I like it then!

I would have never thought of spaghetti for breakfast. I guess food is food, but this is usually a lunch or dinner item in my brain.

i agree with you. it can be taken as heavy breakfast if there are pieces of bread with the spaghetti.

it is carbohydrates and it is energy-giving, but with the sauce, i think it is also body-building.
