TV Game Shows

Have you ever thought of being a contestant on a TV game show?
I once went on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. I answered the first question correctly, but unfortunately missed the second one, which of course put me out of the game. Frustratingly, I then knew the answers to every other question in the game!
I came away with nothing for my efforts, but I had a lot of fun.

I wouldn't like to be on tv, but I always wanted to play 'Shop til you drop', 'Supermarket sweep' and 'Whammy'!
Sorry you lost.

I would not be able to be a contestant in a show even if I knew all the answers. I´d be terrified.

I was on a show "What's the good word" and failed miserably. Later I introduced that game where I was working and it became a big hit.

Yes, when we are at home watching the game show, we can give the correct answer right away. But when you are at the stage, i think it will be a different story. Sad, that you were out early but happy because you enjoyed being there

I bet that is really nerve racking when you are up there trying to concentrate, your bound to forget.

Ive heard so many horror stories about game show contestants. The items they win are not totally free. They must pay the taxes on them before taking them home. As a contestant you have to read the terms and conditions very carefully before agreeing to them. On Jeopardy, those contestants who end the show on the minus side must pay the difference. It is an accumulated debt. No matter how glamorous a game show may look and sound from the living room, it is a business where those who produce them make money off of the contestants somehow.

@lynnief That's probably why entertainment has gone to the pits since the introduction of "reality shows".
