Cameras have become the police force's biggest asset it seems. They are going up all over our communities. Businesses may have several of them at different areas. They are being used in a lot of detective work now days. They say that in our normal travels on any given day we are photographed probably five or six times. Sort of eery I'd say. What do you think of this?

5 to 6 times? In some city centres you can be on 70-80 cameras just going from one shop to another

@celticeagle yes, it is quite extreme in very built up commercial areas - buses here have cameras trained on the passengers so we are on camera right through bus and train journeys many times

@celticeagle I suppose if we never see the cameras we won´t think too much about it and be happier also if we can that is.

Cameras can be useful, yet can also be dangerous. Some use cameras to film inappropriate activities, film those who do not want to be filmed, not pay attention because they're filming Using their phones). But cameras can be useful to help solve crime, mysteries, problems, etc.

I do my best not to think about them. I don't like the idea that Big Brother is watching everything I do.

It is a double edged sword since the cameras that the police use during their duty is a very valuable eyewitness in a court case, the negatives is lack of privacy but it assists the police is doing their duty to serve and protect their communities, I am okay with that.

I guess it is worth a lack of privacy to get the bad guys.

@celticeagle The one time I do not like cameras watching me is on the traffic lights that have cameras when an auto runs a red light on a highway since the red light could be on just after the driver passes the street when the light is yellow.
