A way of commencing my summer, a mandatory visit to my dentist and my optometrist.
Clinics are portals to transcendental zone, the quiet and the cleanliness make one feel angelic.
But not on this character. My naughtiness increases when people seem to be obliging, perceptive of my cares and woes.
So I open my big mouth and talk incessantly. I can gauge the new dentist all ears. With a curt smile, my whole malingering act falls on professional assessment.
The lady dentist then explains that my slightness of movement most likely is an imbalance, for I chew on the right side of my mouth, the left needing treatment.
Oh wow, where did that come from? She explains further that because mastication is done on the right, the left side of the body is prone to ailments.
Oh wow, again, that must be why I keep feeling a tightness in my heart.
Now I shall be religious in visiting my dentist. Every three months, she says, because of my diabetes. Grrrr.
My new optometrist? That would be another story.

Eileen, was it really because of diabetes? Does your dentist know you have diabetes?

Yes. My endocrinologist required me to mention that whenever I get my dental check.

@eileenleyva I see. But how come there are a lot of things needed to be done in your teeth?

@mlgen1037 Goes with age, I suppose, plus I am not a milk drinker. The posterior molars suffered. My jaw is small and my teeth crowded. Jagged, I call it. Hu Hu.

I did ask my daughter, an OB-Gyne, and she said the ears render the balance.
