The American Red Cross sure knows how to reward one of their volunteers who has served as a goodwill ambassador of their charity. Gerald Hornung who goes by the nickname "Jed" has been bestowed the nickname of "Red Cross American Hero" for his 70 years of service that began just after the start of World War II. Hornung was in high school where he worked as a volunteer for the American Junior Red Cross speaking to groups of the wonderful deeds of the charity. It is nice to see someone like Hornung being honored by the American Red Cross by giving speeches about the great deeds the charity has done through.all of these years.

That is a very long time to have been a volunteer for an organisation.

It is true since Gerald has been doing his job as a goodwill ambassador for the American Red Cross since he loves what he does.
