Have You Ever Used An On-Line Dating Website? How Did It Go?

I have been single for quite a while. My part of this universe is plum dry of available men. Men here are either married or gay.
About on-line dating websites... I have heard good and bad.
In your opinion, should I even bother making an account or profile? I am so afraid of creepers out there. Creepers are what alot of women are telling me. However, one woman I know hung out with 4 to 5 men at the same time.
If I would, do I let him pick me up at my house or meet him in public?

I would meet them in a public place that had a police station close by or even better meet at the police station.

i have been on an online chat site years years back and i met one person who i have chatted with and became friends with him now and we are still chatting sometimes. But like right now, i have never tried online dating sites as i feel it is not really worth my time and some site would ask you to pay for accounts so that you can leave a message or what so i think its not wise to do so.

I used Tinder and it gave me results but not relationship because people uses it for one night stands. Coffee and Bagel is the better dating app/site for me.

@Spontaneo Tinder is bad for the soul, it corrupted me really bad.
