I am here in the hospital laboratory waiting for the result of the PTPA examination. According to the medical technologist it will take an hour and a half for the result to be released.
I usually check the prick if there is so much bleeding and based on the amount of blood in the cotton ball, I think the PTPA result is within normal range.
When the result is released I will go to the supermall and submit myself to my cardiologist for consultation.
I wonder if my sister is already seen by our cardiologist. She is the first while I am the 10th in line.
edited at 4pm:
The result is high. I have INR of 3.17mg/dl. I have to take Coumadin 3 times a week.

I am sorry to hear that, Ingrid. How will you know if it is normal? But what does Coumadin do?

coumadin is an anticoagulant. it makes my blood less viscous. my normal range is 2-3mg/dl.

@mlgen1037 a normal person should have 1.1 or below mg/dl PTPA. my normal range should be 2-3 because my blood should not be too thick or too liquidy

@ridingbet Oh. What causes the blood to go up or higher than the normal range? Do people have different ranges?

coumadin is an antigoagulant or a blood thinner. the antidote for that is vitamin K tablet
