Oh No!

Well today was an odd but okay day. It is a ride the bus day and so I get home earlier, as I cannot linger and talk to the boss. I told hubby I wanted Chinese food, so we drove to the town where we like to do that. He kept saying that things just did not taste good to him. It was okay to me, though. I slept in the car both going and coming back (40 minutes each way). By the time we were home hubby was frightfully ill. I think he has that virus everyone at school had. He had chills. I sent him to bed early. Once we were home I drove into town to buy him gingerale as that was what he wanted. He thinks he might have just overeaten, but I don't think so. Since he had all his bad teeth pulled he has not been having this kind of problem at all. I hope he gets over it quickly.

He took strong measures of not eating and keeping hydrated and sleeping and seems to have gotten over it quickly.

My husband felt much better after resting, and drinking the gingerale. The ginger settles his stomach and the fluids helped him stay hydrated. I am sure this Chinese restaurant is not very authentic. We eat there at least once a month. I think we should use a cookbook and make some foods at home. Is there any dish you would recommend?

@GardenGerty It is a good job you knew what was wrong with your husband and the gingerale did its work. There are several styles of cooking in Chinese dish and each has its specialities .Don't know if you have eaten the Spicy chicken cubes with peanuts and Spring chicken.

I hope the rest and gingerale are all that was needed to make him feel better. And you must be really tired to have slept on the drive both ways. Take care, both of you.

I often sleep in the car because I do not rest well at night. He feels much better, but did stay close to home the next day.

No, he may have over eaten at home before we went. Or have eaten something that was out of date at home. Like the coffee creamer that was way out of date that he uses to make iced coffee. He ate a decent amount at the restaurant, but way less than usual.

He may have found something "off" in the refrigerator, as he was not sick very long at all. The people I worked with, including the kids that had it were sick a lot longer.
