why don't they start with gender specific uniforms? i worked for radisson years ago..i liked them, but they sold the property to doubletree..which was in turn bought by hyatt.. but anyway, one of their first acts besides taking away all our incentives was to put all female housekeepers in a stupid dress.radisson let us wear shorts-which makes way more sense when cleaning. the dress,if you don't put shorts under it,makes the moon come out when you bend to clean something lower.i'm sure the guests enjoyed the hell out of it,but for minimum wage i ain't giving them a free show.(arizona is a "right to work state"-which translates into right to pay you next to nothing) not only did i almost quit on the spot over that, then we had the added problem of having to constantly buy hose-which they did not reimburse..and they expected said hose to be runless..which meant at least 3 a day and is pointless while cleaning. is this cleaning,or hooters? and in closing,i hope there is a special place in hell for employers that put service workers in polyester.it's sweaty, and they might as well burn the uniform after a year.you never really get work smell out of it.

I cannot stand polyester, if you work hard and sweat you need to wear 100% cotton to stay fresh. Even the hose can be annoying while cleaning.

I can't even imagine cleaning my house in a polyester dress and hose, let alone room after room. That's just awful!

They do not care I think these corporate types lack common sense to the 10th power. To be fair, not about common sense but what makes them the most money. At least, that is what they teach us. Do not get me started on right to work states. How they sold people a bill of goods on that one. That is how I know in any conversation of the working class to the white collar class. Working class curses it, white collar worships right to work states.

i've always felt that skorts or culottes are the best compromise for female uniforms. i guess they chose polyester because it's cheaper? i would expect the front desk and wait staff to wear pantyhose, but why include housekeeping?

i notice the word sexism: my big brother commented on a post that i shared on Facebook which read---"God created women to be excellent nurses". i liked that post, and then my brother who is also a nurse, commented:" a sexist remark- there are excellent male nurses too!"

Well people should really be considerate in everything to prevent sexism. It is really irritating how some people can just be insensitive.

I agreed that if it is cleaning job, all should wear the same uniform unless it is on service job which image count then it is another story
