Today, April 22nd is Earth Day. Environmental organizations used to be scattered and focused on their specific issues instead of coming together and working as one for a common cause. After 1970, Earth Day changed that and brought all the groups and organizations together. 20 million people turned out back then and showed there was a definite concern. Working to preserve resources and climate change now days over one billions people participate and it is now considered to be the largest non-religious observance on the Earth.
