Diary Saturday 21st April 2018
Very much a day in, sulking over the lack of post, but happy with an e-mail confirming that my CCTV course certificates are now heading my way.
Diary Sunday 22nd April 2018
As yesterday but with lots of creative writing activity and adding to my pub signs book too.
Diary Monday 23rd April 2018
Busier today as on a university volunteering one day course in how to give students feedback on their course progress, especially in being sensitive in handling the giving of criticism. Interesting and thoughtful. As an exercise I had to pretend to give a student employment redundancy as positively as possible. Myself, I'd rather someone just told me straight rather than trying to break it to me gently.
Got home to find a card from the post office telling me that a parcel is at the sorting offices for me. Went there to find that as the card only got to me today the postman will still be on deliveries so I can't collect it until tomorrow. Grrr.

Waiting for mail is like making something on the stove..a watched pot never boils and a watched postal box is never filled!

Isn't it the case that.postal workers often don't even have the parcels with them but take pre-written cards which they put through the door without knocking? Something to do with having to send a van if there are more than a certain number of parcels in any street. Obviously not the case with what happened to you.

There aren't many ways of giving bad news positively. I think I'd rather be told straight out too.
