Hello there on a Tuesday morning. It is getting hotter again this time of the day. I can endure the hotness of the environment, but please, please help me reduce my temperature because of the sarcasm and cynicism I am experiencing now. You read it right. It is about my only sister. She knows that I cannot do hard work at home. Right now, she is vacuuming our living room, but she often sighs, which is an overt sign of showing dismay. What can I do? She knows she should not exert much effort on her right shoulder since she is still on rehabilitation treatment, but she works harder now. Oh, how I wish I will be deaf for a few hours when she complains of pain. She ‘requested’ me to move aside when she swept under the desktop, but she stared at me like the eye of a witch. Hahaha! I wonder how long can I stay calm? I do not want to hurt my heart, you know!

Maybe it is best to sit outside while she is working inside.

Sibling rivalry. It happens at all ages.

i guess so, but it is not sibling rivalry. she is just the condescending cynical sister that i have. i do not LIKE her, but i definitely LOVE her

some things can be deferred. some standards can be lowered. can your son help in the chores?

@ridingbet sounds like the classic "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. makes me wonder how it was when she was still working.

my son wants to. i want to, but she feels our help is useless because she wants the cleaning according to her standards. for how can my son do his job of helping if she complains about the manner my son does? "you keep the chair in place", and when my son keep the chair in place, she says,"no, not like that. you should do this...do that..." it irks me and my son. we just keep quiet because if i or my son burst our emotions, she will once again demonstrate fake seizures and twitches. (i made a discussion about this already).

@hereandthere actually, she became a radio personality because of my 'connections'. i had a patient who was a manager of a local radio station. i talked to the manager so my sister landed on the job, until she became a station manager.

She wants to make you realize how hard she works and how much effort she puts in everything she does. Very annoying.

@ridingbet She surely wants your attention. I do the cleaning little by little, I try not to work too many hours cleaning.

yes that is true. oftentimes, i call her attention when she does heavy work. i would say, "manang, you must not do all those heavy work. you are not younger anymore". i think she wants my attention too. just several minutes ago, while sitting in front of the TV, she silently complains of muscle pains. i did not speak anymore because she knows i will tell her,"I TOLD YOU SO"!

@LadyDuck yes she does, but when i help her even light work like dusting off, she would say."you are not allowed to work". i also get silent if i feel ill and that is her sign i won't work.

I can really imagine how it is to live with your sister. For sure, if I was in your place, we will have a heated exchange of words. I don't like hearing "parinigs".

hahaha. me too, my lady. you know before i had the heart ailment, i was so fierce that others co not want to be against me. i am a woman of principles, and i fight for what i believe is right. but now that i have the ailment, i let those emotions pass like the wind.

she says she does not want to be 'inutil' or useless. yes, she feels she is still in her 20s, so she works harder for a 68 year old woman.
