Building habit: Daily meditation and yoga practice

I always wanted to build this daily habit, but I haven't consistently do meditate and practice yoga. I went hiking last Sunday, and my whole body was aching especially when I was carrying my baby boy for quite a long time.
So now, I want to start building this habit again, especially if I want my kids to go hiking (I have to go with them), and I probably need to carry my baby boy all way long too. I think if I have daily exercise, it does help me to stay healthier, and it might be easier for me to go hiking with carrying the baby.
Moreover, I always think meditation does help me to stay calm and mindful, and hence I have better connection with my kids and less scolding or nagging them, and this is the parent I always want to be.
I bought a yoga program two years ago, which is a 28 day meditation + yoga practice. I decided to follow this program. The yoga practice is less than 30 minutes a day, and there is even a much shorter version which is just around 6 minutes. If I really don't have such luxury to spend 30 minutes for practice, I can at least spend 6 minutes to do some simple yoga poses. I can always find at least 5 minutes to meditate, if I want to.
I hope I can really make this habit this time.

I found some Pilates videos online and I like them too. I plan to do those Pilates exercises once in a while, or after I have completed this one month program.
Same here, I want to exercise to stay healthy, though it's good if I can get rid of my big tummy after giving birth.

It is good to have a habit of something healthy. I could never do yoga because I have very screwed up knees. I love the idea of yoga, but yoga is the last thing I can do with my knees haha

I used to do a lot of yoga stretches. It's helped me sleep soundly and recover from body pains. I don't do it regularly anymore but I try to just do dance workouts at least 2x a week.

I have been working out daily and following a blend of a marathon runners guide book and the couch to 5k plan. Those rest days are so needed! Lol
Ive been having a hard time squeezing in work outs too. What is the name of the program you got? Can I get it in USA?
I bought a few new books yesterday to help with meditation.

You are really dedicated!
I always wonder how others, especially moms, can spend time doing so much, it seems not easy to find time doing something I'd like to. But I agree that if we really want, we can always squeeze out some time, we just need to set the priority.
The program I mentioned is from Hunter Yoga - Daily Practice. You can find the link here:
I purchased it when it was at huge discount, if I am not mistaken, it was $28. There is a free challenge going on in May, you can check it out too: http://www.mindfulmamamentor.com/unmartyr/ I think she will share some Yoga and meditation too.
I also like Yoga with Adriene, which you can find free Yoga videos. She shares her yoga videos on YouTube too, and she also hosts a 30 day challenge in January every year (you can find the videos from her YouTube channel). I also plan to work on these once I have done the Daily Practice.
My eldest son is practicing meditation too, and it seems to be quite helpful for him. He is more persistent than I as he practices it every night before he goes to sleep.

@kaka135 I have no idea how some moms do it! I just keep squeezing in 5-10 minutes here or there doing work outs to music that my little one will dance to as I do my thing. Its just so hard at times because when I think she's cool to do her thing while I do my thing shes all "nope! Not gonna happen today!"
Thank you for sharing that info! I got a neat work out set as a gift!

Yoga is love. I want to change an old habit like being lazy and procrastination.
