My signature dish is date and walnut cake. What is yours?

I do have a couple of dishes that I do not see anyone around me be it my family, friends or neighbours preparing them. One of them is date and walnut cake.
I picked it up from a cookery book but I no longer need to refer to the recipe as I have it on my finger tips.I make it mostly during Christmas time.
The other one is cabbage salad. This is my own creation.
What is yours?

I make a couple of dishes that belong to the old Peruvian cuisine. My grandmother taught them to me.

Does that mean your children have not picked them up from you?

Just reading your post my mouth started watering. We were taught to make a Swiss roll. But it is not easy.

@allknowing It is a bit tricky, but after a few trials it's not very difficult. Here is a photo of one I made, you can use several different fillings instead of whipped cream.

@LadyDuck The problem comes at rolling time. The crust gives way.

A moist cake is not easy to produce and if you can do that and no one else around you you can call it a signature dish

Carrot cake with creamed cheese frosting. I make this dessert with every holiday meal.
