I had a serious talk with a colleague, Miss AUA yesterday. She revealed to me that she is an oncology nurse and her license/card will expire next year. It is expected because her mother had colon cancer but since her mother was operated on and received chemotherapy as well, I thought she should work at the recently-opened oncology ward of the hospital.
“No more, Ma’am, I lost my confidence on chemotherapy”. I asked why. She said, her mother got too thin and she had poor appetite. I replied, “Surely you know those are untoward side effects of chemotherapy”.
She has already decided to not allow her mother receive chemotherapy drugs anymore. She now resorted to herbal management. A caretaker of their farm in a distant town suggested my colleague to decoct a certain type of grass. I asked, “Is it the Bermuda grass, or the carabao grass, or the long reeds?” “No, Ma’am”, she replied. She said it is the very ordinary type of grass usually found in any rice field, at the roadside, lawn, and anywhere. She said she just decocts it and let her mother drink.
According to her, her mother is gaining weight, getting her appetite back, and does not complain of rectal itchiness, bloody stools, or abdominal pain. That is great!
Would you prefer to be treated with the traditional herbal management for any of the illnesses you have?

Certain things.. I took some stuff when I had my chemotherapy.. and we didn't tell the doctors because they would have just poo poo'd the idea.. .
But I drank Colloidal Silver in my water daily! and I never got sick when on the chemo .. my loss of weight happened with the radiation.

here, when a patient has dengue fever, there is a decoction of a certain weed locally termed "tawa-tawa". if the parents let their kid drink the fluid, they say their kid gets well and the platelet count increases. it is not yet proven and accepted by the medical society though.

@minx267 this weed is so common in any garden, even in the fields.

@DianneN yes that is the main action of Coumadin or Warfarin. and i don't think Coumadin is found in any plant, herb, or tree.

i believe Coumadin is produced not with herbs, plants or roots, but vitamin K may be. that is why i appreciate because Coumadin is made for those with heart ailments like me.

oh, i do not know how the grass looks like. she just explained it to me, and when we were passing by the ER department of the hospital, i asked her if the grass is found in the lawn. she said none.
