. Two years ago, two narra trees on my property were cut down without my permission .. It devastated me .. My patience was pushed to the very end.. I could not believe the blatant disrespect for the land.. I mourned for the loss of the trees.. It felt like I was stabbed on the back several times .. That was the end of the love I felt for those people whom I was thinking of leaving to them the land ... There are only four narra trees left.. But there are baby narras shooting up in some parts of the land .. They will not be disturbed because the abusive and ungrateful people are gone .. Bess photo is one of the narra trees left on the property .. ............................................................. ..

Me, my younger brother and my father planted 4 narra trees at the front of our house ( park) when I was around 14 years old so you could just imagine how big and sturdy they are now but they had to chop down 1 to give way to a structure and it really broke my heart although we have no claim on it since we planted it on public land. I can feel what you felt and those ingrates do not deserve the land nor your kindness.

@hereandthere no the tree is not considered mine cause it's on public property. The guys who cut it down were young people, tanods, deputized by our barangay and have no idea of the tree history, for them it's just another job and I do not blame them. They hauled away everything on our barangay truck, for them its just another tree thst should be taken cared off.

I would not like to lose the Royal palm trees on our land - they have withstood many serious hurricanes over the years.

So sad, how can anyone cut yur tree without your permission? Is there any law to the prevent tree cutting? In India we have got strict law...not to cut trees! I can feel how must have felt dear @epiffanie ! I hate people who cut the trees and pelt the stones on the street dogs! They are heartless people!

@epiffanie , I feel pity for those people who don't understand the importance of the trees in our lives! Nice to know that you need to have permission to cut the National tree! In India cutting any tree is a crime unless you have a wriiten permission from the concern authorities! Thanks!

It is devastating that they had no regards for the land and the trees... Narra trees in the Philippines are now protected because they are endangered caused by illegal loggings.. you need to get permit from the Department of Natural Resources if you need to cut down Narra tree...
