JJ reminds me my old days on Mylot

I was on a discussion started by lamby @JolietJake about how all his discussion reach to the top of every category That is "Top Rated" and "hot" and what not. No, I am not jealous but remember the time when almost all of my discussions reached to the "Hot" list within no time as soon as I posted them. I don't think those days will be back for me

I think the point of mylot is to have fun. Making it a competition between your fellow members to see who can get on the "hot" list first or most often, takes the fun out of it and can disappoint, as you have just proven with this discussion.

No, the truth is that I am no more active on this site. Also I have no intention to reach on top of in any category but after reading his latest discussion on this topic I started this one. I am talking about my old days when I was active during 2008-11.

If you spent as much time posting and interacting as JJ does, your own discussions would most likely be towards the top of those lists too

@jaboUK Yes I was. In fact I was there right from the beginning in 2013 and stayed until end. I earned almost $4800 and received $4400+. Lost some due to misunderstanding in the end.

I think his discussion stated everyone was on that list. it just depends on activity as to how far and how fast it moves up the list.

That's why he reminds me of my own discussions. Mine too went up on all lists possible up to 2011.

@marguicha If people are interested in your posts, they will answer. It is not a 'friend' thing. Your friends might help a little but you need a lot of different people to read and respond.

That's true, in fact my niche is humor and all my friends loved the funny posts I started here. Now most of my friends no more active so I see no use starting any thread which will attract no comments.

@JJ would say that all discussions hit the hot list. You can hit the list again, just look at the top ones to see what people find interesting.

The fact is that all discussions appear in all tabs but you have to scroll down if you have lesser comments or likes.... cheers!
