Umbrellas for all!

Our high school student council has come up with a solution to a problem that has existed for years! Our campus has four buildings and in order to go from class to class sometimes students (and teachers) have to go outside. On rainy days, people "borrow" umbrellas from an umbrella stand, planning to return them the next period, but by then the owner might need them in the original spot. So our enterprising students bought some cheap plastic umbrellas specifically for going places on campus. I can't imagine why nobody has ever thought of this before.
What creative solution to a problem at your workplace have you seen or would you like to see?

That's a really good idea. Sometimes the solution to a problem is quite simple once someone thinks of it.

I heard from a former teacher that in the 1970's they had a similar thing, but the umbrellas were our school colors. I never knew that. I think our current kids came up with this solution on their own.

i'm assuming now all four buildings have these white plastic umbrellas and stands? so that if i'm in building a, i take one from the stand. then when i get to building b, i leave the wet umbrella on the stand in building b?

Two of the four buildings have them, the gym and main building. The music building (mine) and the annex (mostly offices) don't.
I think it should work like you say. We will find out tomorrow since it is supposed to rain.

When I went back to sell made some nice signs but most people do not pay attention so have to come up with another way to make money. The umbrellas are very unique.
