Thought I would put my vote out there for best All-Time UFO movies. There is a great list of flicks on this subject matter and I am sure we all have our favorites among them. Here are three I really liked for various reasons. Among my criteria were: entertainment value, mystery, anticipation, suspense, plot, acting, horror, unexpected surprises, and shock value. 1. ET: (The Extra Terrestial)- the story of an alien who gets stranded on earth is befriended by a child who helps him return home to his own world. Many great funny scenes throughout the movie while ET is hidden in the children's home and kept a secret from their mother. When ET falls ill and the government becomes involved, the kids work together to help him escape the government authorities and return home. A family classic, this film is such a beautiful exploration of a unique friendship; the special connection the boy Elliott shares with the little extraterrestrial is endearing. 2. Alien (1st one)- traveling in deep space the crew is awakened by a distress call from an alien vessel. They investigate and encounter a nest of eggs which contain organisms. On the vessel they eventually encounter this alien being where their safety will be in peril from the creature. What makes Alien so great is the constant feel of uneasiness. Right from the beginning you have a feeling that something is wrong. A solid suspenseful movie throughout. 3. The Terminator (original)- A cyborg is sent from the future on a deadly mission. He has to kill Sarah Connor, a young woman whose life will have a great significance in years to come. Sarah has only one protector, Kyle Reese, also sent from the future. The movie contained phenomenal action with an interesting story line. You really get caught up in the characters. Sarah's efforts to escape the cyborg, Reeses attempts at stopping him, and the robot's unwavering effort to carry out his programming and mission. If you haven't seen the movies and you like sci-fi these are a trifecta of entertainment, horror and suspense. So, what are your picks for best UFO movies? @stewartclint Not a big TV watcher, but I did enjoy the "Stranger Things" series on Netflix. HBO had a series called Westworld which I thought was really good. If I find come across anything else, I'll let you know.

@dgobucks226 I think I could not chose a scene. But the ET itself was so dear that after that movie, aliens changed for me forever

A great film which appeals to kids and adults. A movie centering on friendship, love, laughter and suspense is a great mix of entertainment. What scenes in the movie did you enjoy?

I agree totally with ET. My favorite movie of those you mentioned and the only one I've seen of the three. I'm not into horror in sci-fi, so those others would not be something I would want to watch.

ET was a good one. Spielberg used his ability to make a movie which appeals to children as well as adults. He really empowered those kids in the ET story. And the emotional roller coaster ride of the film is terrific. You were ready to cry and then shout for joy at the happy ending. Just great stuff.

@cintol Yes, Drew Barrymore was really good and so young. I remember her dressing ET up in ladies clothes (funny).

I liked that one too. An hilariously funny sci-fi film. The different alien forms were great and the sliming of them was very funny!
