Mylot, Family, Pigs, and Snakes

So yesterday I was readings posts here, responding, etc., when it dawned on me how therapeutic mylot is. I think of things I read and friends I have here even when I am watching tv or doing other things away from here. Even on Facebook where I seldom go any more, most of my friends are from here!
It even causes fun searches. Like I was typing with Shaggin yesterday and discussing our love of animals. when she said you about always get snakes out in the country and I remembered when I was young someone told me, if you have pigs, hogs, they will eat them. So I had to look that up to see if it was true and guess what? It was. I also found out a lot more about them then I ever knew when I had one as a pet in the country.
And by the way, the photo here is of my girls and myself when she visited last week from Ohio. We had a lot of fun trying to get us all in a photo where all 3 women would be satisfied

@LadyDuck 9 out of 10 people do not like them. on the other hand most people like pigs and have a total wrong idea about the poor things.

I am really happy to know why most of us here on MyLot despite knowing that we are being paid peanuts for our efforts......Yes, it is therapeutic for us...we are feeling happy, unstressed and rejuvenated after participating here! Thanks a lot @bunnybon7 to make many of us here to understand why after all we are here on myLot!

A pig will kill and eat just about anything that does not kill it first. We were always warned as little children to stay away from the hog fences because the large boars would try to attack us. My aunt and uncle raised hogs every year and I would go visit them on the weekends. The pigs were so cute when they were little but as they got older they got mean. I followed the rules and kept far away from the fence.
The picture of you and your girls is a good one. Thank you for sharing it with us. Oh, and yes, myLot is therapeutic and eye-opening.

i never saw one as they got bigger except my pet Candy but maybe the girls don't get mean till they have babies.

@bunnybon7 I don't think the females are as mean as the males but it also does depend on how you raise them. If you are raising them as a pet with lots of hands-on they are different. The hogs my family raised were not pets so they were not inclined to any gentleness.

yes my daughter there is in the southern part near Columbus . i am here in Florida sadly with the blonde one now. i miss Ohio
