I think when they are old enough to move out and make their own choices.

There ears can be pierced when they are mature enough, each person is different, and they would need to be responsible for taking care of their health, any other piercings only when I'm gone.

Their ear's i will let my daughter get pierced when she is old enough to ask me but other then that i feel that it is gross to have their noise, belly and everything else under the sun pierced so there for if she wants that she has to be 18 years of age and out of school. When she become and adult then i have no say into it and that's how i prefer it to be.

I have decided to let my children get their ears pierced when they are old enough to make that decision themselves. Other piercings would need to wait until they are at least teens and opt to have those piercings. I think that I would also like to say that they would need to be able to afford those piercings themselves altho, I do not see anything wrong with them getting a piercing as a present. I am sure that my view on this is a little skewed since I am into tattoos and piercings. =)

Piercings seem to be quite the craze with kids these days. I have 4 kids. The oldest went through the stage of wanting to get all kinds of piercings. Her tongue, ears, belly and nose. All 3 of my girls had their ears pierced at a young age and the 2 older girls got the ear cartlidge at the age of 16. My 15 year old wanted her nose pierced for her birthday so we did allow a small one. You will have to check with the store that is doing the piercing because they do have age limits even with the parents permission. Some of the places charge quite a bit so my girls have had to pay for there own and they have to do it with the idea of it being tasteful and according to our rules. They are limited on the amount of piercings we will allow them to have. I think it has to be tasteful before I will allow it.

I totally agree with you! If it looks distasteful, why would anyone or parent let their child get a piercing? That would just be gross. Children should have a limit to how many piercing they have, otherwise if they do not have a limit, they might just go over board or even get it done without your permission! :)

I don't know when a good age for this is. I would say 14-15.

Both my girls got their ears done before they turned a year old. At 13, I let my daughter (who's very physically mature) get her belly pierced, then at 14, I let her get her tongue done. I believe the child should be mature enough that she or he takes showers and brushes their teeth daily. Showing good hygeine means a lot in this matter.

I almost had my daughters ears peirced when she was a baby but never got around to it, but whenever she asks or we decide to do it she can have them peirced. If the belly ring is still in style when shes 16 she can have that done. As for any other part of her body she better be 18. If I find any before that she'll be grounded.

I think that when a child is ready and really wants their ears pierced, then I think you should allow them. At least at 5 or 6 years old. They start to ask, and they have to understand they need to take care of their new earing or it will start to hurt, and they don't want that. And, I have no idea when parents should allow their children to have their nose or belly button pierced. I think that they should at least be in High School, but I do not know when. It is not like having your ears pierced! :)

Nose rings NEVER !!! belly rings not so bad I could handle if I had an 13-14 year old want that ..as for earrings I think when they want to, if they are old enough to take care of them as in 6-7 so they don't have any problems...
