It is a very hot Monday afternoon here, and the streets are somehow empty of people. But wait! We are now having gloomy skies and cool winds blowing.
Will the first rain of May fall today? I cannot yet smell the soil/grounds of water, indicative of impending rains.
I am hoping for the rains today. I and my son will put the flower pots in the garage so it will be a free watering of plants as well. Or I could drive the car outside the garage and let the rain do the free cleaning of the car.
I just hope we won’t have power interruption.
Maybe too, because it is so hot today, we might have hail falling down.
With your age now, do you still like to bathe in the rain?

it already rained here and now it's hot again.
we have big buckets under the downspout that collects the rainwater.

@hereandthere i wished for that too. it would have been nicer to sleep while the fan was off and the sound of the rain will add to the sound sleep.

@ridingbet :) Yes I used to splash in the puddle as a kid. sometimes I would go outside in the pouring rain and wash the car!

@minx267 i did drive the car under the rain this afternoon. our car had an instant wash, but no soap. just the rain water cleaned the car.

@ridingbet When I was a kid we did not fear pollution and acid rain, but my mom did not want that we get wet in the rain. It rained again early this morning.

it was nice of you to experience rain.
some kids are not allowed to bathe under the rains, most probably because their parents know of the possible side effects of the action. the rain might have the pollutants of the environment;i.e., acid rain.

Hi po. We had our first rain last May 1 here in the metro. The child in me would if I am worrying about things. But for now, I appreciate it by watching it fall.

groceries here are already air-conditioned. but this hot, i will still prefer to stay home than go out and grocery-shopping to enjoy the AC. it will be 'maalinsangan' (sticky feeling)again when i go out of the grocery and ride on a tricycle.

We have a very hot Monday then it did rain very hard this evening.
I use to bathe in the rain but now that I'm sick and I'm prone to air allergies like I get itch whenever I bathe in a cold water. I don't do that anymore. Even go swimming on the beach, I can't do that anymore too.
