Seagull in flight mode

Here's my photo for today, May 10. It's a seagull flying very low by the lake. What was interesting about this seagull was that due to very strong winds, it couldn't manage to land on the ground and kept getting blown around. It flew very low for a good minute before it landed on the grass. Have you watched birds flying around during strong winds?

This is a beautiful photo, are you sure it's a seagull? They usually do not fly so low near the ground.

Yes we have thousands of seagulls here by the lake.

Birds are relatively light, so they are obviously affected by strong winds. Good photo.

They are so agile though and adapt to weather conditions easily.

I like to watch the buzzards try to fly into the wind. They are built more for soaring on wind currants than actual flying.

Interesting photo. I never realized that birds had a difficult time when it is very windy.
