Samurai Jack The Best Martial Arts Story Ever

I have seen many great Martial Arts and Kung Fu films, as well as some awful ones. My favourite martial arts story however was a long running TV animation, called Samurai Jack that ran from 2001 to 2017, with a long gap between its fourth and fifth (final season).
It was made by a Russian American animatom Genndy Tarkovsky, who also created Dexter's Laboratory, Cow & Chicken and other Cartoon Network classics.
Samurai Jack is a Japanese warrior who tries to save the World from an evil wizard called Aku, who he almost stops right from the beginning but before Jack can deliver the final sword blow, Aku uses a spell to cast Jack into the far future and a World where Aku has already taken over the World. Jack fights hos way through the evil realm, seeking a way back to his own time. Most stories are quite poetic and stylish, and serious, with ocassional bursts into extremely funny humour as in the appearances of The Scotsman.
Season Four just ends with Jack no nearer home than ever but pressure from fans led to a closing season which wraps things up. The finale is strangely sad. Jack meets a female ally, actually Aku's daughter, who gets him home where they defeat Aku completely, but as they have their wedding, the bride vanishes. Without Aku she and her timeline never existed. Jack is last seen meditating in the forest, smiling at the beauty of a ladybird.
The exquisite animation really lifts the series above the norm. It has a uniquely Japanese style without being anime. Many scenes and whole episodes use little dialogue. Take this Youtube capture of a battle between Jack and a dark ninja robot. The use of black and white lighting is fabulous and the conflict genuinely tense.
Though there are stand alone episodes, the story does develop as it all unfolds.

One of the coolest fight scenes of the entire series. Very creative play on the battle of light vs darkness

It could change style a lot - these are highlights of the very funny Scotsman's appearances
With the upcoming return of Samurai Jack I have found myself watching through the old series, and thought it would be fitting to make a clip tribute of the S...
