Mothers They Deserve More…On Mother’s Day!

Today is Mother’s Day! I am not here to wish all the mothers a great day or so! Just I recall a story, which I am putting here in few lines! A man got frustrated of his poverty in his life he approaches a God man to solve his problems. The god man demands the heart of his mother from him to perform some rituals. In the greed that man kills the mother and takes out the heart and carries the same in his hands without any feelings to the god man. While walking towards the God man the person meets with an accident because of a foot strike with a stone which happens to be half buried in the ground and gets a fall on the ground and moans loudly in the pain ‘Oh Mom…’ The very next moment he gets to hear from the severed heart of her mother – ‘Son are you alright?’ I am least interested to narrate the story further….! To, conclude, the mothers are our creators, raisers, caretakers, mentors and have sacrificed many things in their lives for us! They are in fact the living Gods and even if they have passed away they have concern for their siblings and always have blessings for them to shower from the heaven! So, May I ask why we need to remember or recognize this Godly person once a year instead of rendering our gratitude on day today basis to make her happy in whatever possible way we can on day to day lives? Please respond! Your responses will be highly appreciated as usual! Thanks!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and moms here in myLot. To a child, God and love is personified by his mother! Every day should be Mother's Day.

I heard this story many times, the mother has no complaint but just concerned on her son, whether he is alright. Only a mother can do that way indeed. We have different 'days' now to celebrate, I have to say, those are the creations of business minded people to increase their earnings by taking advantage of the sentiments of common people. Many may feel, I won't give a gift on that particular day, how it affects me... so seeing the adds may tempting them more. Yesterday, my children wished me giving a kiss on my cheek. Younger one was first as he is always prompt on such things.

Yes, they are in fact living Gods on the earth for the children. Yes as you said it is commercialization of the things and in the name of a particular day associating with a particular event or relationship, people do lot of business! Nice to know that your Kids wished you and expressed their love! Today they are small to understand....once they grow up then they realize the role of their parents they had in their life and develop the respect and regards for them! I think this happens with every one! As a child we all take our mother for granted...only after growing up we realize her role in our lives! Thanks dear @Sreekala!

"Matru Devo bhav"..that says so much about the respect that mother holds in our Indian culture. I remember my grandparents telling me this story when I was young and when I fought with my mother or was upset with her.
