What All You Use Coconut For?

Coconut is used in many ways in India. People have the flesh of endosperm as it is, as it is tasty and sweet. Some people from south use it in Chutneys that goes well with south Indian Dishes like Idli, Dosa and Vada. Sweet dishes are prepared with Coconut. Thus Coconut is having many uses! As you said ,in preparation of chutney, coconut rice, coconut milk is used in curry preparation ,sweets,puttu is good I have tried it they use grated coconut I think...I just like to have raw...don't like to use it in curry preparation

There are many uses for coconut. in fact the coconut tree is called the tree of life here in the country. The meat is eaten, the juice is a good thirst quencher and all parts of the tree from the leaves, to the trunk, down to the roots are used.

I like to use coconut for cooking and baking. I have also used it as a body scrub mixed with oatmeal and it's a great moisturizer as well. I like to mix it with my smoothies too. A little milk, a tbs of coconut, a banana and some strawberries.

I use coconut for making curry. Make its paste in raw form then add to vegetable curry. Also make fry then make the paste for adding curry, this willbe tastier but time consuming.

@AKRao24 I am sorry to make you confuse, I just replied from mobile yesterday. Coconut past is using with vegetables for making curry. If the coconut alone without vegetables then it will be 'Chutney'.

I use coconut milk in place of regular milk because I am allergic to regular milk. I used coconut oil in pancake mix once and they turned out really moist and good!

I love coconut water from tender coconut. We use coconut for chutney and laddoos. We also use shredded ones to garnish kheer, upma and other dishes. Coconut oil is best for hair massage.
