Good Monday morning to all of us, my time. It is a non-working day today because it is the local elections day.
I and my sister went to the school in the room where our names are included. The voting time was just quick at 10 minutes, but the waiting time of 30 minutes was longer. Also, searching for the room took us 20 minutes.
My thumb is marked with the 'indelible' (but erasable) ink and the stamp for my thumb mark to seal my vote.
Since it is not the national election, the activity was generally peaceful, at least in the school where I cast my vote. There was, however, newsfeed on Facebook about vote-buying in a locality in the city proper wherein the voters were secretly given P200 each.
Such incident, to my knowledge, is not present here. but I don’t know; maybe they don’t like to approach us because they know we don’t accept the ‘requests’ from them.
It pays to be an honest voter.

@mlgen1037 it is also good news here because the incumbent who was gunning for his third term did not win. he had many anomalous activities when Lawin struck our place. the voters certainly woke up and gave the ex-captain a dose of his own medicine.

@ridingbet I cannot vote here in Switzerland, I am not Swiss, I am Italian. I still have the right to vote in Italy, through our Consulate here.

yes, it is our choice if we vote or not. your voting activity is far better than ours here.

@ridingbet I don't see any changes in our country. It is really useless to vote and nothing will make a difference.

@Shavkat okay. but for me, i would not like to be the receiver of what others will plan for my future. i have my own power to choose. thanks kabsat for your input.

the problem is the counting of votes if what party will win or lose, and the possible complaints of the losing candidates.

i haven't seen the ballot and i seldom attend the election.it's designated who will be the bureaucrat, what i had done is just write their names and put it in the ballot box,Then we can get some moeny from the candidates. It's Chinese Election in villages.
as for powerful bureaucrats,i have no right to vote the ballot.they're very excellent and great to me.

We did not exercise our right to vote today. We will be voting next year. This is a first for me.
